The Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses (VET TEC) program is a tuition and housing benefit from the VA that helps you train for high-demand tech jobs without touching your GI Bill®.
Unlike traditional education benefits, VET TEC only partners with training providers that deliver real results—meaning programs must lead to graduation and employment for schools to be reimbursed.

FAQs
Thanks to the Dole Act, VET TEC has been reauthorized and updated for 2025:
- Limited capacity: Only 4,000 spots are available nationwide each year.
- Partial GI Bill® use: A portion of your GI Bill® entitlement will now be required (amount TBD).
- Higher standards: Providers must meet updated approval criteria and focus on employment outcomes.
- Launch date: October 1, 2025.
You may qualify if you:
- Are a U.S. military veteran with at least one day of unused Post-9/11 GI Bill® entitlement.
- Apply and get approved through the VA.
- Enroll in full-time training with an approved provider like ACI Tech Academy.
- Are pursuing a career in a high-demand tech field such as:
- IT support
- Cybersecurity
- Networking
- Software or data-related roles
Note: Spouses using transferred benefits and most active-duty service members are not eligible.
